On mortality and living life

A couple of things have made me ponder my own mortality in the last few days- first the death of Steve Jobs who was several years younger than me and his very eloquent words when facing his own death. I imagine many of you, within 10 years of Jobs' age, may have felt too the shadow of the reaper of late.
The second, prompted by my examination of the calendar, is the realization that on February 22, 2012 I will be the same age that my mother when she was when she died.
I am not worried or morose, just thinking about stuff. Today I got a referral to a dietician/nutritional counselor at the VA since I know that though I am quite active and monitor my health my weight is the primary drag on my health at this time.
I hope that all of you, dear friends, have taken the sage words of Steve Jobs to heart and are living the life you choose.
